here we go

well after my flight was cancelled at 4 this morning the Mexican shuffle began. After a strenuous early morning trip to the airport with dad I got on a plane to Atlanta. upon arrival I immediately went to the bar at tgi fridays (around 9 this morning) and had a bloody mary or 3. i was talking to lady next to me about said bloody mary and she happened to be a spanish teacher who of course had gotten her masters here in Cuernavaca. so i got a bunch of tips and a stern warning not to drink the water (which my family has told me several times, everyone here has a pure water cooler). anyway i talked to them for awhile (her husband was a sig ep) and once i had my swerve on around 1130 i set out for the plane....i woke up at 2 as we were beginning our descent into mexico city and gathered my things. my ipod died about 30 minutes into the flight and i suspect that having it plugged up in my car all day everyday has screwed my battery life. no matter, my bag arrived in the airport to my suprise and delight, and from there we headed off to the city of eternal spring. the air in the city immediately gave me a headache and altitude sickness, but by the time we got over the hills and into the valley of cuernavaca i didnt care. i have been a lot of places and seen a lot of pretty drives, but the road into here is absolutely the most beautiful route i have ever been on. any way a bunch more stuff went on but nothing really interesting. we met our family and are at their house now. they are very nice and very gracious and have two wonderful little kids. i do not remember their names right now but eventually i will get them and put them on here so i dont forget. we are going to Taxco in the morning and i am exhausted so chao
